*Eulogy for Sunday Bello *
We are here today to celebrate the life of my dear friend, Sunday Bello – a man of faith, family, and fierce loyalty.
I met Sunday in church, and our bond grew even stronger after the Northern Central outing in 2025. From that time, he became more than a friend. He was a brother.
Sunday loved fiercely, but he carried it gently. He was strong in his convictions and strong for his people, yet his approach was always soft, respectful, and grounded. You felt safe around him.
He was hardworking, no doubt. But what set him apart was his generosity. He invested not just in things, but in people. He believed in developing human capital. If you were around Sunday, he was pulling you up, cheering you on, and making sure you had what you needed to grow.
Above all, he was a wonderful family man. He protected, he provided, and he gave as much as he could to those he loved. And at the center of it all was his love for God. Sunday was a God lover. His faith wasn’t loud, but it was lived. It showed in how he treated people.
Though he has gone ahead of us too soon, the life he lived will keep speaking. We will remember his presence, his counsel, his work ethic, and his quiet devotion to God and family.
Rest well, my brother Sunday. Thank you for the friendship, the lessons, and the love.
May God comfort his family, and may we honor him by living with the same faith, generosity, and gentleness he showed us. Amen. 🙏
